A personal proposal for Zach & Lauren

Let’s givefibre apersonality.

Brand strategy, identity and packaging for Biota Fibre. Presented by Stylographic.

Not another snack-bar brand. An opportunity to make something overlooked feel essential, and desirable.

Premium.Playful.

Confidential proposal, prepared for Biota Fibre

02The opportunity

Protein became a culture. Fibre deserves a moment of its own.

Biota has an opportunity to make a nutrient people know they need feel like something they actually want. The task isn’t simply to make a fibre bar look more expensive. It’s to make the product desirable, understandable and unmistakably Biota.
  1. 01

    Fibre first

A clear and ownable point of difference.

  2. 02

    Food first

Honest ingredients, appetite appeal, not a pharmacy aesthetic.

  3. 03

    Personality with purpose

Confidence up front, cheek where it adds memorability.

A brand built to stretch beyond one bar, one flavour and one production run.

First product: 52 g Fig, Roasted Almond & Cinnamon whole-food fibre bar, targeting ~16 g fibre.

03The brand tension

Do premium and playful have to choose sides?

We don’t think so. They need different jobs.

Mode 01: Shelf presence

Considered.
Credible.
Craveable.

At first glance, make Biota feel like delicious, grown-up food worth its place on the shelf.

Make people want to pick it up. Then make them smile.

04Competitive context

A growing conversation. An opportunity to sound different.

Floura

Fibre-first premium bar, an important direct benchmark.

What it teaches us

In our view, it shows fibre can lead the story on a premium bar, and that buyers may pay for a considered, design-led product.

Where Biota can differentiate

Biota could feel more food-led and more characterful, with warmer appetite appeal and a voice people remember and repeat.

05How we’d build the brand

A brand system. Not just a logo.

  1. Kickoff, audience and market nuance, brand ambition, and what Biota should own.

  2. Two distinct initial creative directions, each with a clear rationale and relevant applications.

  3. Selected direction developed: wordmark, optional icon, palette, typography and supporting system.

  4. Front and back 52 g pouch: shelf legibility, seal and safe-area review, hierarchy and required back-of-pack content.

  5. Three consolidated revision rounds across agreed deliverables; supplier preflight and final print-ready artwork.

  6. Concise brand guide, final approved asset package, native files, and full transfer of ownership after final payment.

Indicative timeline · 7–8 weeks from kickoff

Dependent on prompt client feedback, final approved claims, supplier dielines and required legal/NIP inputs. Boxes, if selected, run concurrently where dielines are available and may extend the schedule.

One coherent brand story, designed to work from a single 80 × 130 mm pouch to a growing portfolio.

06The studio

Small studio. Serious thinking.

Stylographic is an independent creative studio based in Liverpool, UK. We build brands that do more than look good: they need to communicate clearly, work commercially and stay coherent wherever customers meet them.

Founder / Creative Director: Graeme Forrest

20 years in design and brand communications

Oakhills

We built a lifestyle-led brand for the North East’s largest student accommodation provider, helping Oakhills stand out as more than a place to stay.

NELE

We created the brand for NELE, a new range of zero-sugar ice pops and lollies packed with electrolytes, ahead of its planned summer 2027 launch.

Halal Protein

We developed a distinctive identity for Halal Protein, bringing clarity and confidence to a protein brand built around halal consumers.

Claritee

We helped build Claritee from the inside as a cofounding partner, shaping the brand and its direction as the business grew.

07The investment

Two ways to bring Biota to life.

  • Discovery and positioning$2,000
  • Identity development$5,000
  • Brand guide and tone of voice$1,500
  • Single-SKU front/back pouch and print-ready artwork$4,500
  • Total$13,000 AUD
  • All Quote A deliverables$13,000
  • 12-pack retail/shipping box graphic design$1,750
  • 3-pack sample/influencer box graphic design$1,250
  • Total$16,000 AUD

Our thinking: the 12-pack is a retail workhorse and should sell from the shelf. The 3-pack is where the brand gets to have fun. An influencer and buyer unboxing moment is the perfect place for the cheek to come out.

Included in both

  • Up to three consolidated revision rounds in total: a round is one combined list of stakeholder feedback submitted at a milestone
  • File handover

Terms

  • 50% non-refundable booking deposit to commence; 50% on completion, before final native files and IP transfer.

  • Boxes are artwork for agreed formats only, based on final supplied dielines. Structural engineering, physical proofs, print and manufacturing excluded unless separately scoped.
  • Printing subject to Vivo Packaging approval and proofing.
  • Third-party fonts must be properly licensed; underlying licences cannot be transferred as bespoke IP.
  • On final payment, full ownership transfers to Biota Fibre, including the logo, all artwork, the brand guide, separate logo files and native working files. The only exception is third-party font and stock licences, which are licensed rather than owned.
  • Visuals and competitor assessments in this proposal are illustrative and opinion-based. Product figures and any nutrition or health claims are subject to final testing and approval.

Good fibre. Great brand. A little cheek.

Zach and Lauren, we’d love to help build the identity that carries Biota from its first 2,000 bars into whatever comes next.
